Janine Gesek, RN MSN
Janine is the President and Co-Founder of Pacing for the Cure. She has worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years and is currently the Assistant Vice President, Clinical Transformation and Chief Nursing Information Officer at Virtua Health; the largest integrated community health system in Southern New Jersey. Janine’s background also includes leadership roles in Project Management, Product Development, Ambulatory Care Management, a startup healthcare information technology company, and a clinical practice in critical care/trauma nursing. Janine received a Bachelor and Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA and a Post Master’s Certification in Healthcare Informatics from Drexel University. Janine has expertise in leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and is currently serving as Vice President of the NJ HIMSS Board of Directors and Chair of the Clinical Informatics Committee.
Joseph Steuber, MBA
Joe is the Vice President of Pacing for the Cure. He has been an accounting professional for the past 15 years with three different companies. He has a wide range of industry experience including banking, healthcare, insurance, energy, and manufacturing. Joe’s leadership experience has included roles as an accounting supervisor and project leader. He is currently employed at DuPont as a Senior Financial Analyst working on the upcoming merger and structural reorganization with DOW. Joe received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Widener University and an MBA from Wilmington University.
Richard A. Koory, Esq.
Richard is the Secretary of Pacing for the Cure. He is currently General Counsel to US Realty Associates, Inc. and its approximately 30 Real Estate Affiliated Entities. For the past 20 years, he has been involved in the purchase, sale, development, construction, financing, leasing and management of a significant real estate portfolio owned or controlled by a Philadelphia Developer. For the 25 years prior to that, he was a senior officer and/or director of several banks and other financial institutions, primarily dealing within the corporate and real estate aspects of the companies. Richard received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from LeMoyne College, Syracuse, N.Y. and a J. D. degree from Rutgers School of Law, Camden, N.J. He has been a member of the New Jersey Bar since 1972.
Jeffrey Gesek, MBA
Jeff is the Treasurer and Co-Founder of Pacing for the Cure. He is currently the Treasury Specialist at Virtua Health; the largest integrated community health system in Southern New Jersey. For the past 30 years Jeff has leveraged his accounting and finance backgrounds in a wide variety of industries; including healthcare, media and other businesses. His leadership and business expertise has been utilized in various start-up ventures. Jeff received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Saint Joseph University in Philadelphia, PA and an MBA from Wilmington University.
Ashley Tetrick, BS
Ashley is the Chair of the Marketing Committee of Pacing for the Cure. She was born and raised on a horse farm in Crete, Illinois. At a young age she competed in rodeo events throughout the United States where she obtained multiple world titles. Completing her BS in Business Marketing at Purdue University, Ashley graduated in 2009 and launched her career as an east coast Marketing and Sales Representative for Franck’s Pharmacy, a prestigious equine pharmaceutical company. Ashley currently lives in Woolwich Township, NJ, where she has fulfilled her entrepreneurial spirit by branding Tetrick Racing, created a social media initiative, and launched Tetrick Racing Gear.com. As a wife and mother of two, harness racing has become a main focus for her entire family and she is active in aiding Harness Racing to become a mainstream spectator sport.
Heather is the Chair of the Fundraising Committee of Pacing for the Cure. Heather brings to Pacing For The Cure her expertise in Public Relations, Marketing and her energy and enthusiasm for the harness racing sport. Her most recent position was as PR/Marketing Director for the Meadows Standardbred Owner’s Association in Meadowlands, Pennsylvania. While in this position she hosted local foundations and charity events and handled all social media accounts. She also has extensive experience in the harness racing business including as harness horse trainer. Heather served as a freelance writer for the Horseman and Fairworld in Lexington, KY and Customer Service Representative for the US Trotting Association in Columbus, OH. Heather studied Public Relations at Bethany College, WV and California University of Pennsylvania in California, PA.
Barbara is the Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee of Pacing for the Cure. She is married to Bill, an MS survivor, for 56 years and is a devoted caregiver for over 30 years. She is the mother of two adult children and has served in numerous volunteer roles over the course of her adult life. Her main volunteer activities include; Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Virtua Health Auxiliary Board of Memorial Hospital and most recently Pacing For The Cure. Barbara brings her decades of knowledge of fundraising and event planning to the Board. She also brings tremendous insight into the disease of MS through her years of studying and managing the symptoms of Bill.
